Open to the Public Bench Match

Light Bench Match Rules:

  1. Public Match (by invitation only)
  2. All Gemmer Range Rules Apply and NMLRA Safety Rules
  3. Visitors must sign range waiver
  4. Distance: 35 Yards
  5. Bench: Club Supplied
  6. Front Rest: Step up 2×4 rest Supplied by club (a pad the thickness of a piece of leather can be used to protect rifle on rest.
  7. Rifle:
    • Style: Traditional Muzzleloaders Only, Flintlock or Percussion
    • Weight: Under 15 lbs
    • Caliber: Any
    • Sights: Open metallic
    • Shadders: No
    • Diopters: No
    • False Muzzles: If Used, they need to be connected to bench
  8. Target: 6 bull provided by club (SB-1)
  9. Shots: 10 (2 per bull with 1 practice bull)
  10. Scoring: 100 point system
  11. Relays: 2 if more than 10 shooters
  12. Prizes: Cash
  13. Cost: $15
  14. 50/50 Card Game

Shooting starts at 10am so please arrive early to setup. Gates will be open by 8:30am. Recommend that Visitors RSVP with Joe Kelly.

10-4-2025 – Scouts Fall Rendezvous

October 4 @ 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Event Date: October 4, 2025
Time: 8am – 4:30pm
Setup Camps: Friday evening Oct 3.
The Scouts are setting up all week prior to the event. Setup for can begin up to 2 days prior.

Black Powder target shooting is offered. No flintlocks are allowed at the range.

This is a Rendezvous camp that they are wanting to expand and add more demonstrations for the scouts to learn from. They have candle making, flint and steel, rope making, tomahawk, archery, blackpowder, blacksmithing, and making a one legged stool. We can do any of this too, but they are also interested in new things like trapping, leatherwork, horn making, trekking, gun building, chain making (for pouch attachments), Hawken and Gemmer History, or anything else that is period correct.
