We got kind of rained out so not everybody finished. There was a total of 25 possible points.

Ray Lewis shot 20 for first place.

Tyler Heaton shot 18 for second place.

Stan Pontius shot 16 for third place.

If I get additional scores from the other shooters I will update this post. Congratulations to everyone that participated, especially Ray Lewis for his first place win!

Thank you Mike Briscoe for hosting this match. If you haven’t tried it before, it’s definitely fun and worth shooting. You don’t have to dress in period clothing to participate.

May 2026 – Five Position Match Results

33rd Alvin C York Memorial Shoot – March 28, 2026

This chunk gun match had 108 shooters this year. The overall winner was Dawn Swigert with the best score of about 3.8″. Dawn also had the best shot award. First year in 33 years that a female won the match and it was well deserved! Congratulations Dawn!

The Gemmer club was represented with 5 shooters and 6 members present for the match: Tim Turnbull (10th Place), Walter Fett (16th Place), Bob Browner, Margie Browner, Dave Brandenburger, and Bob Vogt. We do not have the overall scores for the event. Once this is published, we will add this to this page.
